Established in 2008 by Kurt Roy, Landscapes Lawns & Beyond LLC was created on a vision…one with purpose, hope, passion, determination, yet one that would remain simplistic to stay focused on the people they serve and employ.
Our Story: Following a 2-year junior college baseball career, I enrolled into Texas A&M University. With the love of the outdoors since early childhood through sports, hunting, fishing, and time spent with family and friends on Bridge City’s beloved Cow Bayou, I decided to pursue a degree in Agronomy (Turf Grass Management) in hopes of creating a career in which breathing fresh air was more the norm than the exception. Originally interested in golf course management, I would shift gears late in my junior year at Texas A&M University and change my focus to the idea of one day running a small business. It was while working in college installing irrigation systems that the idea started to grow. Upon graduation, and through the Aggie network, I received an offer to work alongside another Aggie to help him grow his landscape business in the DFW area. After an almost 10-year run with him, the dream of starting a business would become a reality in January of 2008. While landscapes and lawns are our avenue, it is those we serve that are our focus. Our intention since day one was to go “Beyond” the expectations in every scenario. We genuinely see every day as a gift, just as we see every project that comes our way. While we do not claim perfection, we do promise to do our best, to show respect, to listen, to strive to go “Beyond” on all opportunities we receive, and to always show our clients sincere gratitude. The formula that started this venture in 2008 remains intact today and that is to create Win-Win-Win outcomes for you, the client, for our invaluable employees, and for our business in general so that everyone wins. We believe that for us to separate ourselves from others, we have to earn and maintain a well-respected name everyday. It is with that mindset that we try to provide you with the best services and solutions that we have to offer. We feel blessed to have been in business since 2008. The individuals we have met and continue to meet along the way through our clients, our employees, our contractor partners, and our vendors have been nothing short of amazing and inspirational. We called LLB and spoke to Kurt Roy, the owner, and asked him to give us an estimate. He came to our home, discussed with us in detail what we wanted and gave us a number of options. He gave us a written estimate detailing the cost of each of the items and what work would be done. He also indicated when he would be able to start work. Owner and crew showed up the first day (Thursday) to do all of the work except the irrigation controller and landscape lighting. The owner confirmed with us what would be done the next two days. The worksite was completely cleaned up at the end of the first day and everything that was scheduled was completed on time. The crew was courteous and professional. The 2nd crew returned as scheduled on Friday and installed the lighting system and irrigation controller. They checked out all of the lighting and made sure that our old sprinkler heads and valve controls worked with the new controller. At the end of the day, everything worked and the work areas were cleaned. This crew was also courteous and professional. Today (Monday), the owner returned to make sure that everything worked as expected and to make several adjustments based on our discussion such as the days and times that the sprinkler and lights should come on based on our preferences. The owner also plans to come by the house later this week at night to make sure that the house lighting is properly adjusted. Kurt Roy, the owner, and his crew did an excellent job that went extremely well, was on time, and within the price we thought was fair.
